Initiating and Receiving Feedback
Feedback is one of the most powerful tools for supporting
and improving performance. Unfortunately,
most individuals don’t know how to initiate, receive, or
act on feedback in a constructive manner. As the focus
of feedback is primarily on improving the individual’s
skill set, professional development should be both
planned and managed by the individual. Although selfassessments
can be helpful, it is important to also involve
others to achieve a well rounded perspective on
relevant strengths and weaknesses. In this workshop
learn the importance and benefits of initiating and receiving
feedback, address common misperceptions
about feedback, and develop the skills and knowledge
that will enable you to react positively, learn from, and
act on feedback in a constructive way that will enhance
your professional and career development.
